Re: Untraditional Registy Items
here's mine - I love dealing with nutrition so I just had to have this. Plus after the wedding I am going to get my certification in nutrition. It's from BBB
This computer food scale allows you to record daily food intake and set dietary goals plus review progress. Scale analyzes nutritional content of food by portion size by calculating calories, protein, carbohydrates, total sugars, total fat, fiber, sodium, cholesterol, net carbohydrates and the glycemic index of your food. Features a large LCD screen, a database that stores nutritional values for over 1,440 foods and liquids and memorizes an additional 100 food/recipes of your choice. Has a two-user memory, plus an add and weigh feature. User just weighs the food and inputs type. Removable stainless steel cover for easy cleaning. One 9-volt battery included. Measures approximately 9 3/4' W x 8 1/4' L x 2' H. 10-year warranty.
I've heard that people are doing honeymoon registries now? Do you think that is weird.? I'm not sure what to do since we already have almost everything we need. the only thing we need is some furniture and I dont feel comfortable registering for that.
Is there anyone else who already has all they need and is having trouble with the registry thing? Any ideas?

Re: Untraditional Registy Items
FH and i also need just about EVERYTHING --but i figured, why not add a few silly things on there for fun. a lot of times friends will want to buy you some of the silly things just for the helluva it.
our silly things:
EuroPro Professional slushie Maker : (basically you can make a 7-11 slurpee in your own kitchen, and i LOVE slurpees)
Chocolate Fondue Fountain: i mean seriously, who DOESN'T love a chocolate fountain?!

no, not tacky - most people do register for that. I know we are. We are tired of just using duffle bags for our little trips.

Luggage is the first think we picked out for our registry, if we had to buy it we'd buy the cheapest thing out there. Also me and FH will be registering at Home Depot. We hope to have a before we wed, so Home Depot seemed like a good choice.

We are registering for a wine keeper (the temperature controlled kind that has a vaccuum seal for opened bottles)

same situation here.. minus the gift cards =)
Luggage is an awesome idea! Very functional... I've seen brides receive many pieces for their shower.. you'd be surprised!! register for it girl- you deserve it!

Re: Untraditional Registy Items
We registed at Fortunoffs and BB & Beyond. FH put on a 125.00 wine opener at Fortunoffs. I swear this thing is like a piece of furniture. We are thinking about the Honeymoon regisrty because we both live together and are established with everything. We only registered because his family is European and love Lenox.I didnt want 10,000 pieces of Lenox. I put down the chocolate fountain , too.

I dont know much about how honeymoon registries work. Does anyone else know? I think your guests just contribute to a honeymoon fund????

Re: Untraditional Registy Items
oy, I've been having a lot of fun with my registry lately!
We're really starting from scratch, so I'm registering for EVERYTHING, but I decided to put on some extra stuff... especially some extra cookware stuff because I try to eat healthy (high cholesterol) so I got an asparagus steamer pot and a fish poaching pan. For fun I put on some funky bakeware - crazy cookie cutters, a heart-shaped cake pan, a wok, an electric fondue pot, and a small coffee maker that makes the coffee directly into a travel cup.
I also registered for a massaging spa footbath and a back massager and one of those i-joy massage chairs they have at Sharper Image (I found it online at the BBB website, which is where I'm registered)... so sweet!
Also, an ionic breeze air purifier... a large one and a small one...
I've got a LOT on my registry and I haven't even put on dishes or silverware or bedding... but that's fine. I can always take things off, and between the engagement party, the shower, and the actual wedding, I'm going to need to be registered for quite a lot! Maybe nobody will get it for me... but it can't hurt to add it!

I would keep that stuff on there b/c in the end if it's not purchased you'll probably get a discount on them! So either way it's worth it! Go all out girl!
