Hi ladies, I just have a couple of questions that hopefully you can answer! My shower is THIS Sunday and I made an appointment to get my here done in an updo at 11:00am. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an updo done? It's nothing too specific, I'm just going to tell her to make it tight and get it up! I'm trying to figure out how long this should take to see if I have enough time to get my makeup done for the day. Okay the second question...if I go to a store like Macy's, do they do makeup for free or do I have to pay for something? I'm not exactly sure how that works! Typically how long does it take to get some quick makeup thrown on? TIA!

the day of her wedding, my friend went to the Benefit counter at bloomingdales and got her makeup done there. they do it free but usually expect you to buy something.
not sure but I would allow at least an hour for an updo depending on if you want curls or not

My updo took like 15 minutes. Usually they dont take much more than 30 minutes. And makeup trials in department stores are usually free. MAC makes you buy 3 things, but you can always return them if you wont use them again.

depends on what they do for your updo. Can take 20 mins or an hour so can be a big difference. Like someone mentioned, if they curl it will take long, or if they do something a lil more complicated.
Make up counters EXCEPT MAC are free, they will ask you if you want to purchase any of the products after, you dont have to so dont feel forced to

I just got a trial this weekend for make up and it took an hour...she did a great job, and airbrushed the foundation, no lashes though so i'm sure that woulda added even more time to it...i guess it all depends on what you want, if you want really done-up eyes its gonna take time...And hair I would give like 45 minutes....Have fun at your shower!
