I am naturally drawn to some pretty dark and depressing music. Don't know why - it is what it is. The other day my son was sitting with me while I was d/l some tunes and he said this music is soooo sad. And he seemed REALLY sad. So I decided to seek out some more upbeat music.
Right now me and the boys are LOVING 'On The Radio' by Regina Spektor. It's so peppy and sweet. And they are crazy about 'Boogie On Reggae Woman' by Stevie Wonder. I am also liking 'Rehab' by Amy Winehouse... but not too sure I want to introduce that to the boys...
Any suggestions for something a little more fun? I

'Us' is another Regina Spektor song that's rather up beat. I think that they'll like that one.
I haven't heard it but kids seem to love the music from 'High School Musical' - maybe it's worth looking into.

'Red Alert' by Basement Jaxx immediately comes to mind. I used to have an iTunes playlist named Upbeat but I have to recreate it.
I listen to mostly old boring music though.

My kids were weaned on old, boring music!
They love U2, Kate Vaughan, Louis Armstrong, Rufus Wainright... old is good! Quality is good!
