update again: called of wedding at the JT

Ah up for another Nebulizer treatment.. Does anyone know exactly what 93 oxygen means when they take your pulse?

FH called me up and apologized and said Im sorry, I dont want to take you and Gabe away from your parents.. (Grrr... its always the parents) and please dont cancel the wedding at the JT. I know its what you really want.. I want you to be happy. THen he tells me that he was thinking it would be awesome for him too.. (The last part I felt he was just saying to make me happy)

See, I dont say things to make people happy, I say what I really feel... I wish he would do that... SO now I dont know what to do. The idea of not spending so much money was turning out to feel better.. I just want to wear my dress LOL!!!

I am going to be the blunt one lol.
It sound slike you and FH need to have a talk. A serious talk. Not a talk where one person is going to say or do something to make the other feel better but a heart to heart. marraige and the expense of a big wedding are serious issues and with a wedding date less than 6 mths away you two really need to open open and put EVERYTHING on the table. The last thing you want is to have issues right after the wedding or to have the date get closer and another 'issue' comes up. You say that all you want to do is wear the dress..i have no doubt that you will but try to make the wearing of that dress not be attached to any ill feelings.

I also think and agree with everyone's else sentiments that you both need to really talk this through and put your feelings out there.

I just want to say that I also think you need to sit down and really talk this out. Its all about communication! I truly believe that is one of the most important things in a relationship.

You also have to remember that this is YOUR wedding. Truthfully I think you should chalk it up to experience and go to Aruba for the wedding!
Your family will get over it, trust me.
In the end all you have is memories a few pictures and maybe a video. Wouldn't you want them to reflect what you both want? Not what you did for your parents.

P.S If you parents think you should have this Hugh JT wedding how come there not footing the bill? I say If they want to pay for it than have the big wedding if not... Bon Voyage! People will come and you would have an amazing time w/o all this grief and stress!

you are already used to the idea of not going to JT and you will save money - and if you both are happy with it- then have it upstate and go on a sick honeymoon !
