Update - Bridal Gown- Question for those already married.

Thanks so much for the input - I'm going to stick with my gown, I loved it the first time I saw it in a magazine and I still do, I guess i'm just nervous.

First off Congrats everyone!!!

I was wondering if anyone felt the same way I do. I went a crazy hunt for a gown I saw in a magazine, after a few months I found it and ordered it. Now two months later I am not so excited about my gown, I didn't think about how hot I would be in a huge ballgown in June. Now I want to change it because i just don't see myself walking down the aisle in it, but the store won't let me change my order!

AWWWW..

IMO you chose the gown for a reason...because you loved it!!! If you are still looking...you should stop because that will only make the situation worse. That happened to me..but honestly after seeing my dress...I am still in love with it. Granted my wedding is in October..but I don't think you should let the fact that it's June change your mind about 'the dress'. You will be indoors for the reception..and I'm sure you will be beautiful and just fine!! HTH!

I have a problem with sweating but except for one part in the ceremony, I didn't have a problem at all. I wore stockings too! Everyone kept asking me if I was cold (it was a cool day) and I said no, not at all!

I wouldn't worry. Just keep that makeup with you to do touch-ups after dancing and such. We took a break every hour and it was enough. (I even reapplied deoderant each hour also)

I think a lot of girls have felt this way - then when they try on the gown again they remembered why they loved it!! DOn't doubt yourself - you will befine! We got married on a really warm day - and neither one of us felt hot - you barely feel anything - you are floating on a cloud all day!

Thanks! I stopped looking in May after I ordered my gown, but yesterday I bride posted a gown she wished was around when was got married and I started to panick, I have already been doubting it becuase on the heat the past few days, but yesterday when i saw the pic of that dress I wanted to go try it on! My mom says it's just nerves, and it may very well be, be it's scaring me . Hopefully I will get over it like you did!

I really believe that even if our weddings were in the middle of January, February or any cold day...we'd be sweating..because we are nervous. It's ok...don't worry. Your dress is BEAUTIFUL!!

hiya,

i am not a past bride but i wanted to chime in- my sister in law got married 4 years ago and says that she sees dresses today that she would love to wear.-there will always be beautiful dresses but you chose yours for a reason. You could be 2nd guessing yourself jsut b/c there are so many dress options. Trust your instinct!
and I also fear the summer heat but, i think you will be able to bear it once its the day of- there is so much excitement- it might not bother you as much...
i am sure your gown is beautiful! try not to look at other dresses..
