UPDATE-cat FH found on his mail route

An ASPCA detective just called us and he is in front of the woman's house watching her look for the cat that FH found in such bad condition on his mail route on Thursday...she gave him some sob story but he said he is not leaving until the cat is found. He was so nice!

He said it took them a few days to get out there because they are so back logged and there has been so many calls for animals that need help (so to all of you who are donating to the ASPCA they could so use it).

We called 5 times in two days pleading with them to send someone and to try to get updates....I am just so happy that this woman is being called out on this. As much as we wanted to just take the cat and get her help ourselves, the detective said if we did that there would be no case against her. Phew....pray for the little kitty!!!!

THat is great news Jen. I cant believe that stupid lady. How cruel can she be.

I heard that cruelty to an animal can lead to prison time. Rightly so, animals are defenseless and people should be punished for mistreating them.

I'm so glad that they are going to help the cat and hopefully start a case against the lady. I can't believe that there are people out there that do these terrible things. I can't even think about animal abuse, it makes me so upset. You and your FH should be proud of yourselves for helping a poor, defenseless cat.

Thanks so much for posting this - I was worried!! AND thanks for being so caring! It's scary that there are people like that in the world! Hopefully the 'lady' will be caught and the cat will be found/cared for properly. You are right, the ASPCA needs donations and are hurting even more b/c of the economy.
