UPDATE: Cruise prize from the Wedding Center at Commack

So...i drove out to Commack Saturday to pick up my voucher for the cruise i won at the Marriot Melville bridal showcase...

It's a 2; 3; 4 or 5 night cruise (doesn't say which cruise lines) to the Caribbean; Mexico or Bahamas. BUT the kicker is that you have to pay a $39.99 processing fee; per person; per day! So for a 3 night cruise. We have to pay $239.94 (+tax & fees) for the two of us to go on a 3 night cruise. And you can only go between September and February. NOW granted; I priced a 3 night on Carnival in October would cost us approx $358 for the 2 of us-plus about $96 in taxes & fees. SO we'd be saving $118 by using their voucher-but it's still not a 'free' cruise and it's really only a good deal IF you're already considering going away. then you come out saving.

Just thought i'd post this for anyone else that received something like this...

I think all of the 2010 brides received one of those free cruises to the Caribbean offers. As soon as you start registering for bridal shows and showcases and what not, they contact you. It doesn't sound a little suspect to you?

Yea it sounds suspect! And they also said if i didn't want the cruise; then i could do a 3 day 2 night trip at no cost...at the sheraton; fairfield inn by marriot; and some other hotels that i can't remember right now.

I don't know about that one. there's no costs except to get to where you want to go...i have to do some research on that one...we need a vacay!
