So I went to RK bridal to try on my gown and it was all wrong.. i have ordered the dress in white and the beading on it was supposed to be silver (this is what they told me when I ordered the dress) but it came in GOLD. The dress was horrible.. They have me back 50% from my deposit... but I only have 6.5 months to my wedding and no dress...
UPDATE: I went to few bridal stores and they told me not to stress that I still have time to order my dress. I found few possibilities.. One bridal store told me that they will get new Maggie Sottero collection in a middle of January. Does anyone went to Simon's Bridal in Flushing?

Try Lillette's. They can always put a rush on it. You have to pay a little more, the company that makes my gown charged $150. Not bad for peice of mind. BTW, I'm getting married 6/5 and I just ordered my dress 2 weeks ago and I didn't have to rush order it. Good luck and I'm sorry for what happened!

Re: dress vent
did it say in your paperwork the color? did you contact the mfg yourself and see if this is true-about the gold only. i mean they did give you have back but still thats not right-because whose to say that they arent able to sell that dress-they still could sell it and make full price.
eta: i ordered my dress in end of july for our june 2010 wedding. when we moved the date they were able to get us the dress by the end of november-which was 4 months-I also had custom work to it. so it is possible.

Re: dress vent
They don't have it written down on the receipt what color the beading was supposed to be? This *****. You have time to find another dress though.

im so sorry to hear that... i got my gown at pronovias so i dont really know which place is fast or not but you still have time!! good luck!!
How long did they tell you at Pronovias?
i ordered it in february so i dont know what their 'rush' policy is. but i do know that the bridal stores have definitely dealt with this before and u still have time.

OMG, I'm sorry. Try Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. My wedding is in 6 months from today and I ordered my dress last month - at 7 months before my wedding. Good luck.

It may be out of your price range but when I went to Kleinfelds they told me that no time table was impossible and that they could do anything within any period of time. so if you are willing, you may want to give it a try.
