UPDATE -Girls that get random pimples or oily skin...

What do you use on your face everyday? I used to use proactiv but im sick of it...and it doesnt always work!
Any recommendations?

UPDATE:So I bought Neutrogena Advanced Solultions (three step kit) and my skin has NEVER been better. I am using it as directed (twice a day) and I have no blemishes, bumps, or oil.

i used proactiv and i hated it! i LOVE neutrogena advanced therapy system. its honestly amazing!!! its sold as a 3 piece set like proactiv.

I use the Philosophy Acne kit...it consists of a wash, a serum, a H2O2 cream, and a foundation base/moisturizer. It works decently OK, but nothing works on me completely because this is a stress related problem.

I've tried lots of stuff and honestly what is working for me right now is

Clean & Clear Continuous Clear (purple tube)

and Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer (lotion with salicylic acid)

these definitely control the oilyness!

I've been using ProActiv for a while too and I don't think it's the miracle it's supposed to be, so I want to switch too.

I DID hear that there's a ProActiv that's like 5% stronger now, but I still have the old version.

I am VERY oily and the only thing that has worked for me is Clinique 3 step products. I get the type 4 toner, type 4 soap and moisturizer for oily skin. This may sounds ironic, but since I started to moisturize my skin, it has been less oily.

I have gone totally simple -- St Ives apricot face scrub. also don't skip the moisturizing (I use Clinique moisture surge gel,even though I have oily skin, works well).

Also carry around those blotting papers (clean and clear makes them, also Shishedo I think has some decent ones). I usually just need one in the afternoon, and by getting rid of excess oil I also help control the pimples.

no, actually that's how it works! if your skin is dry, your oil glands go into overdrive to moisturize itself so your skin gets MORE oily!

I either use purpose or neutrogena face scrub. You should stay away from anything scented and try to find something for sensitive skin. Both of mine are dermatologist recommended.

I have used proactiv and it didnt work for me. I still to natural ingredients that work like medicine but arent as harsh and get the job done. Boscia and Ole Henrisken are great. I also use St Ives apricot face scrub, which is really good and the sheer transfermation moisturizer by Ole Henrisken

I use clean and clear morning burst. Ive used everything under the sun and now i have NOTHING on my face. I use it with a facial pad/exfoliator...I was really shocked...and after i wipe my face with clean and clear black head astringint

I've got pretty oily skin and i've tried just about everything including pro active. I finally found Loreal Pure Zone 3 Step System. I use Step 1 which is a foaming cleanser, Step 2 which is the toner/astringent and Step 3 is the oil free moisturizer. Its the best!! And best of all, its so inexpensive!

I see a dermatologist who has me on two different topicals (they are super cheap with insurance) and I use St. Ives a few times a week and Clinique Cleanser. I also use the Clinique Moisturizer!

Differin Gel is the topical I use at night....and it's super for blackheads!

I use to work at a spa....and I can tell you the BEST skin care line EVER is dermalogica. After this post....I may order some....because I miss it....

Dermalogica is commonly used during basic facials. For oily skin, the Dermal Clay Cleanser is PHENOMENAL! And the moisturizer to go with is Activ Moist....they have toners and boosters...the toner is a spray on....the spray on toner is important because it acts like a shield to dirt and impurities trying to make their way into your pores. They have specialty boosters. If you feel you have very acne prone skin you'd buy the clarifying booster and add a drop to your nickle size droplet of moisturizer. I'd try the regimine without the booster initially....because sometimes less is more!!!

I have been using Proactiv for 3 years and it doesnt work anymore. My farehead has all these tiny bumps and then will not go away!!! Im going to the derma today. we will see what happens
