Hey Ladies! My mom and I went ALL over Long Island today looking for an affordable MOB dress. We ended up finding it a Helen's Private Bridal Collection / Wedding Center in Commack. It's in an industrial park and we almost missed it, but the ladies there, especially Liz, were so helpful, despite the fact that they were grossly understaffed. My mom purchased a Jordan dress in seamist - it's much prettier in person. They had a TON of dresses (bridal, maids, mob's)! I'd go back again!
ETA: My mom JUST got the call this week that her dress is IN! THAT WAS FAST!!!! We're going for a fitting sometime this weekend or next week - I'll let you know how it goes - so far, we're very pleased with Helen's!

That's where I got my dress and BMs dresses. My mom and I went dress shopping yesterday, but found nothing. We didnt consider helens b/c we dont remember seeing a large selection of MOB dresses. Were you able to find a lot of MOB dresses?

Well, there weren't a LOT, but they did have a good selection of Alfred Angelo - so you could mix and match the pieces. I guess I was more impressed with how friendly they were, and as with any place, when you have success there, you sorta go nuts gushing about it! LOL It's worth a shot to go back and look for MOB dresses - ya never know!

how much were most of their dresses going for? My mom is on a very very tight budget- tighter than I am for the wedding...also she doesnt want strapless which i think many of them are. the dress is very pretty!
