UPDATE: Had my hair done today and it looks horrible

UPDATE:
I called my hairdresser today and let her know. I'm going in on Thursday and she's going to fix it. Since she hasnt seen it, she said she thinks she's going to just put in low-lights. I'm not really happy at all with it, so I really think it needs toner. But, when she sees it, I'm sure she'll know what to do. Only really bad thing is...I go tanning twice a week and i KNOW its going to make it even lighter int he meantime!!! So, from now until Thursday I'm going to look rediculous. I've already gotten a few weird looks today....
But at least she's willing to fix it!


I'm 2 weeks away from my wedding and I went and had my highlights re-done today. I went to my normal hairdresser and told her she could go a little lighter (my hair was getting really dark). Well....she left the bleach in way too long and i look terrible. I didnt notice it while i was in the salon because of the lighting, but as soon as i left I realized that it looks chunky and the front is WAY lighter than the rest of my head. It looks so bad cuz my hair is pretty dark and the contrast of the very bright blond just looks rediculous. I normally just get lighter brown highlights -- i dont know why she kept it in so damn long!!!! im going to call her back tomorrow, but the thing is, I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go out of town until Thursday! I dont want to out like this for 4 days and I definately hope she can do something about it for the wedding OMG...sorry for the vent but I'm just so upset. I've never been so upset or worried about my hair before....and great timing too!!!! right before the wedding!!!!!

UGH........I totally know how you feel., Remember that happened to me one week before our wedding? Well, It DID tone down and it wasn't TOO bad the day of. BUT, if there are chunks in the front that you don't like, then hopefully your stylist can fix it for you ASAP...........

OMG I dont even remember you posting that!!!! you must have FREAKED! But your hair looks gorgeous in your wedding pics -- so everything turned out good

I'm really hoping she can do something...the front is terrible and the overall color is just SO light

Hopefully she can add some low-lights and de-chunk the look in the front...........if she can't do it until you get back, is there a way you can wear your hair so it's not sooooo noticable??

I tried everything -- I figured I could just wait til Thursday and I'll wear my hair up or something. I tried about 6 different ways and its noticeable no matter what (because its the side bang thats so light). Oh well....

I'll wait til Thursday and see if it fades at all since everyone seems to be saying they normally fade a lot. If it doesnt....I'll scram over there on Thursday and ask her what she can do. Toner would probably be the best from the sound of it

Awww Jenn, who needs this stress? You poor thing!! Hopefully it'll fade, or at least there is some way your stylist can fix it! Yikes that is really scary! I was thinking I might get it highlighted the week of my wedding but I just might do it a few weeks before now! Cuz I was gonna tell her to go a little lighter too...

You are gonna be BEAUTIFUL Jenn!!! I can't wait to see pics! Your day is just about here!

sorry to hear. the same thing happened to me before my wedding. you should go over there on thursday. Are they open today? The color actually might start getting lighter in the sun (sorry to scare). I went back to my salon right away and i think she added a toner to darker/smooth out the color. good luck!

I feel your pain. Try and fix it ASAP because they will get lighter with teh sun. Even if you can't get there right away, call them and let them know you were unhappy with it. This happened to me last year. I am a natural brunette-DARK hair like black coffee with tan skin all year round and my chick added highlights but left them in too long because she started ona nother customer mid-way through... O M G!!!!!!!

My brother called me 'Storm' from X-Men, for weeks!!!! It was horrific. And worse, she made me pay for it so I boycotted her for months when I finally came back she was sooo careful because she thought she'd lost my business (i always tip generously) and my hair has never looked better!

You may want to wear a shower cap in the tanning bed would be my only suggestion.

Im glad you spoke up and she is oing to fix it. I have a hard time doing that!
