UPDATE- HELP! DIY Gift Box??

What is everyone doing for the gift/envelope box and gift table....I need ideas...I like the bird cage idea....what do you think????

How do you go about making one yourself???

UPDATE- I FELL IN LOVE WITH 'THE PERFECT CARD BOX' and just ordered one today!!!

The only thing about the bird cage is envelope theft, its easy to steel envelopes through the bars. Its a big problem now-a-days.

Are people that sick that they would steal wedding envelopes?!?! That would be horrible!

I've read in several places about wedding crashers who slowly but surely take all of the money out of envelopes. . .you better BELIEVE we are putting them in the bridal suite safe every so often!!!!!! I'm even almost tempted to carry them in a bag with me the whole night. . .

I think they sell plain birdcages at Michaels or A.C. Moore or you can buy it online and then decorate it yourself!

Its a huge problem... guests down on their luck (you know that uncle you don't know well), RH hall staff members, and crashers. With the economy getting worse the problem is only getting worse as well.

I would have something that you have to cut open to get the cards out of, or something that locks. That is why I like 'The Perfect Card Box.'
