**UPDATE** Marathon Wedding Gown Shopping Review

Hi ladies!

So I went to 3 stores today, back to back to back.

First, Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. The woman with whom I worked, Nicole, was so nice!!!! She was really patient and even called the seamstress a few times to help. I really liked the Maggie Sottero 'Ambrosia' dress http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?keywordText=ambrosia&line=m&keywordType=any&page=0&pageSize=15&style=A3365 .

Second, Bridal Salon of Manhasset. It was awful. The woman who helped me (I can't remember her name) was very curt and seemed way more interested in making a sale then helping me find 'the dress.' The sample sizes were TINY (my mom said they looked like a street size 2 or 4) and so nothing would close. What she did was attach pieces of elastic to each side, and when we first started she said ''I don't have my *big* elastic so I don't think this will work.' There wasn't really anything there I liked at all, and her attitude certainly didn't help!

Saved the best for last - Macy's in Manhasset. I saw THREE dresses I loved!!! They are all Demitrious (that is the only line they carry there). The first isn't online (DP176) but it has an empire waist with beading on the top part and beading under the empire going downwards in a V shape, and lots of beading on the hem and train. The second is this one http://www.demetriosbride.com/us/index.php?page=collection_princess&styleID=2778 . The third one isn't online either (DP177), but it has an empire waist, rushing on the bodice, pickups on the skirt with roses, and part of the skirt is swooshed aside and there is chiffon with beautiful lace - I said it looks like a dress a southern belle would wear.

I am going back to Macy's in a few weeks because they are having a trunk show, and I would get 15% off my dress and 15% off my bridesmaids dresses (but I wouldn't have to order BM dresses that day). So, in one month from today I might have my dress ordered!!!!

EDIT: Here is the third dress: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/no-more-dress-doubts-pictures-from-the-first-fitting ... what do you guys think of it?

I was definitely discouraged after place 2 but Macy's made up for it! I'm really excited to go back next month with a fresh eye and hopefully make my decision!

My FMIL snuck a few pictures so once she emails them to me I will post them!

I had a great experience shopping at Macy's too! They had the best customer service but it came down to price for me. I ended up getting the dress from Bridal World in Baldwin.
