Update on ex-husband situation

Hi, ladies,

Ok, have been thinking this over and as much as I don't want to see him in person I really want to get this over with and stop agonizing over what he could possibly want to talk about. So I think I'm going to call him and tell him to come to my job one day this week for only a few minutes. Everyone here is aware of the situation and will be on the alert.

I just spoke to one of my friends and she heard from her brother that my ex is planning to be out of town for my wedding day. Which honestly makes me feel so much better.

He may very well just want to get his feelings about this off his chest so he can finally move on.
I'll keep you all posted as to what I decide to do and what he has to say.

Thanks again for all of your support in this.

Good Luck and please be careful. I would have someone else with you too. Even if they are just in the background watching. This way if you start to feel uncomfortable you can just have them come over.

Re: Update on ex-husband situation

Just wanted to let you all know that I'm ok. Haven't called him yet. Yesterday my mood changed from the fear that I've had since he called to utter anger that he is doing this now. I feel like he still has control over my life which is driving me crazy. We have been over for 2 1/2 years now and divorced for a year and a half-I feel like what could possibly have to be said at this point?

I just want to cry because I'm so frustrated & confused about what I should do. Should I just ignore it and hope he doesn't call again? Or just nip it in the bud now and get it over with so I can enjoy my last week and a half of planning.

I just don't know. I'm so sorry, ladies, for dumping this all on you. But I really appreciate all of your opinions. You are the best!!

Honestly, I'd ignore it. Deal with it after the wedding.

You don't need any addional stress he might bring you, he might be trying to ruin your day emotionally by getting his last little nudge in there.
I'd ignore it, you have to much to do and a very happy day to look forward to with a man who loves you and care about you and your feelings.
Tell him to go to heck!

Don't worry about dumping this on anyone...I honestly understand your turmoil. I'm sorry to say thought that it really is your decision and it is a hard decision of what to do. Please just keep yourself safe.

This is hard and a little scary. I agree with PPs that there is NOTHING he could want that would be necessary for you to see him at this point.

Look at it this way, what would HE DO if the shoe was on the other foot - and you were hounding him days before his wedding???

Its not likely he or his FW would be ok with a face to face meeting, and I don't think they'd feel guilty about that. Neither should you...

Good luck!!!
