Update on FH

As most of you know Fh was scheduled for major oral surgery tomorrow where theyd be breaking his jaw and pallete(sp). well he goes today for a fitting for the metal piece that will go in his mouth and it didnt fit so now surgery has to be postponed until the new piece is done..

I'm starting to freak out even more now because even though it wasnt the surgeon who makes the piece what if something else goes wrong during surgery. i've been crying for half an hour now

Aww sweetie. Try and relax a little bit. Easy for me to say, I know. At least they figured this out before he was in the O.R. It's just a little setback but Im a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Everything will be fine. i'm keeping you guys in my thoughts.

It will all work out in the end.

why does FH need that surgery?

his jaw is too narrow and this should have been corrected whe he was younger but long story on why it wasnt. hes been having lot more pain now and hes at risk for having permanent nerve damage and teeth falling out if he doesnt get the surgery done

i know, i'm just so stressed and worried, and i'm trying not to let him see it because he's already stressed too.

Hang in there sweetie - be strong for him.

I'm sure he's upset too, but it will just upset him more if he sees you upset.

Everything will work out - those people are professionals, and they're good at what they do.

Trust that your FH chose a great surgeon - I promise, it'll all be OK

thank you all so much, i'm sorry for venting so much about it, but i just can't wait for this to be over and done with so he can heal and everything be back to normal instead of stressing out everyday.

I am so sorry FH has to go through this, you two will get through this together and soon it will just be part of your history. Stay strong..

Worrying is praying for somehting bad to happen!

think about it - its all the energy you put out there. It hasn't changed my worrying but it has helped a little! I hope it helps you too. I once told that to a mom of a child I worked with who also had to go in for surgery. She told me the entire time in the waiting room, she thought about that, and it forced her to pray that he will be ok, and focus her energy towards hopeful prayers!!!
