As most of you know Fh was scheduled for major oral surgery tomorrow where theyd be breaking his jaw and pallete(sp). well he goes today for a fitting for the metal piece that will go in his mouth and it didnt fit so now surgery has to be postponed until the new piece is done..
I'm starting to freak out even more now because even though it wasnt the surgeon who makes the piece what if something else goes wrong during surgery. i've been crying for half an hour now

Worrying is praying for somehting bad to happen!
think about it - its all the energy you put out there. It hasn't changed my worrying but it has helped a little! I hope it helps you too. I once told that to a mom of a child I worked with who also had to go in for surgery. She told me the entire time in the waiting room, she thought about that, and it forced her to pray that he will be ok, and focus her energy towards hopeful prayers!!!

Let us know when it will be so we can say prayers! he will be fine. My brother just had an oral surgery where they had to cut his gums the other day... and they wouldn't even knock him out for it! He was SO worried... but it was over before he knew it and now he's doing FINE. It's for the best, and everything will work out wonderfully! Good luck!

As some one who has been through major lung surgery before, trust me, your FH will be fine. It is normal to be concerned, but I am sure he is young and healthy and the chances of something going wrong are so slight and so remote. The worst part will actually be the recovery. If your Fh was 75 years old that would be another story But try to stay positive and know that the odds for everything turning out great are highly in your favor. Good luck!

My ex had the same kind of sugery. His lower jaw came out a bit too far and it was hard for him to chew and stuff. He had his jaw broken and that metal piece put in ...along with his jaw wired shut. It is a tough recovery because he had to drink everything he ingested. But, he did great and got through it fine. I am sure your FH will get through also. Just keep praying and know you have a whole bunch of LI brides pulling for him!
