So my mother called to see what is going on b/c she ordered furniture there. They basically said that they will not be placing any special orders, they will only sell what they have in stock and if things continue the way it has been they will close at the end of the month. Basically they told my mom that she is probably not going to get her furniture.
This is really scary, i know times are tough and places are closing like crazy, but i never thought a staple like Fortunoff would ever closed....

The Manhattan location closed already. This should be the Westbury store

Re: UPDATE ON FORTUNOFF!!!!
Ever since they changed owners it has never been the same. I went last night, and you would never know they were closing. The prices are still high.

Re: UPDATE ON FORTUNOFF!!!!
I tried to switch as much as I can ober to BBB but people already started buying for me - And they dont have my everyday dishes there -
My shower is in like 2 months I am going to chance it - I am hoping if anything there will be good deals and i will get more - I think if anything Westbury will be the last store to close - Hopefully I will be ok

Re: UPDATE ON FORTUNOFF!!!!
I'm registered there. i'm just going to sit tight until I know for sure that they are closing. My shower probably won't be until June the earliest, so I'm not going to panic yet. If they do close, I will switch over to Macy's. I'm also registered at BB&B, but they do not carry everything on my registry that Fortunoff's does.

I would think you would just delete all the items off of it.
