No pic of you in the dress

Lillette's has a huge selection of Maggie's and they cap alterations at either $250 or $295....can't remember which right now.

Try lilettes they cap alterations and I think there maggie prices are great

Okay, so I made my way out to New Haven to go to the bridal shoppe that carried the Maggie dress i was eyeing.

Maggie Dress

So, they had it and i tried it on. It was NOT DISAPPOINTING. It actually looked similar to it does on the model. the dress is sooooo sparkly because there are tons of iradescent sequins all throughout the lace.

Below is one pic that the lady took of me. the lighting isnt that great and you cant see details, but you can see how it falls similar to the stock image.

soooo...i likey....now i need to find a store in NY that will order it for me.

where did you maggie brides find the best prices? how do they do alterations? the place in CT did not cap alterations (boo)

oo..and dont quote!! i will take this down before FH stumbles across this site :)

thanks, girls. i will try to make an appt at lilettes this week to see what they say. i guess it may be hard to negotiate a price of a dress they dont even have in stock....hmmm...well see...

And not true about negotiating price......I'm also getting a gown from them that they don't have in stock, and they're doing wonderfully with my price!!!! Ask for Geri

You can see if burtons bridal can order the dress from that designer. i got mine cheaper (not that designer) there than anywhere else I looked.

well i'm glad you had a nice trip up to my neck of the woods! too bad we couldn't meet up but i'm glad you liked the dress and it was worth the trip.

my suggestion would be, maybe order it from Harolds in CT and then take it elsewhere for alterations.
