Update: Please reccomend your favorite Wedding Band

The hunt for a wedding band begins! Does anyone have any suggestions on a band that will keep the dance floor full all night but also play a mix of all kinds of music to keep everyone happy?? Thanks!

oh- and PS- Codie Bleu was already taken on our date :(
Has anyone every heard 'The Touch' play?

FYI- I saw Times Square Orchestra last night and thought they were fabulous! Any past brides who can vouch for them?

We booked Times Sq Orchestra- we saw them a few years ago and recently went to their showcase. They are great!! ANd I have to say we were undecided band vs. dj because of pricing but TSO is so reasonable for a 9 peice band and no paying for dinners!!

If you like Code Bleu, you may also want to check out Rhapsody -- it's one of their sister bands.

Soul Revival! They were great, DH and I loved them. They had everyone dancing all night, which is just what we wanted. I highly recommend them.

The Touch for sure!! they are AWESOME!! we can't wait to have them play at our wedding...

Are any of these bands going to be less than $6000? Also, how many pieces do you think we should go with in a band?

True Blue from Faze 4 was 8850
but totally worth it
we went to listen to them all none compared
the band really makes the party

The Touch is a great cover-band, FH and I have heard them many times. I think they are about $7K or so.

FH and I went to see The Touch 2 weeks ago in Connecticut. They were good but the lead singer's voice was a little to high for me.

Hello. This is great information, I'm getting great ideas on what bands to call. Anyone here heard of a band called 'the next step'. I spoke with their leader and it turns out that they are very new on the scene, only 10 months old. He said that they have been in the business for 25 years with other popular wedding bands but started a new project this past year. They quoted me a price but I don't know if it's reasonable. I think I will just call my FH friend since he used them in August for his wedding to see what they thought if them.

The Naked Truth Band they have been doing weddings & parties since the mid-1970's. For our wedding it was $4950 for 4 hour reception. They are a 9 pc band & our dance floor was not empty once! My DOC has already started recommending them to her future brides.

Love 'Central Park' (NY Orchestras). 'Heart & Soul' is amazing too, especially if you like more contemporary music!

The band I got is only 10 months old, but not new if that makes sense. Some of their members were part of another popular wedding band for over 25yrs which they left last year. They started this new band called The Next Step . The price they quoted me is really good for a 5 hr wedding. I'm now looking a catering halls and hopefully I can afford a 5 hr wedding! I was told by their leader Nick that it's ok, that if I choose to scale it back to 4 hrs that he will do a better price.
