Update to Rude DJ...

Some of you may remember my post asking if this email I received from a DJ was rude-

We spoke on May 1 regarding setting up a meeting to speak about DJ services. I still have not heard from you. You can call me to set up an appointment or kindly respond back via e-mail to let me know you do not need my help any longer. Please work with me here, the longer you wait to book a wedding DJ, the harder it becomes to plan the perfect day.

There were mixed reactions, so I kept my response to him simple:

I did try responding to your 5/1 email asking when you were available to meet. YOU did not respond. So, no I won't be needing your services.

This is what I got in return today:

you did not respond to my e-mail.... I told you to give me a call so we could set something up. How many e-mails do you want to go back and forth with? For god's sake this is your wedding we're talking about. You can't pick up the phone and call a DJ to make an appointment? I'd be embarrassed and ashamed if I were you and I'm sure your wedding will show the effort you've put forth in dealing with the most important vendor!

Now I will be reporting to the BBB and advising all the girls on here not use him

The name is Platinum Plus DJ,,,they are not a vendor on here...but just in case anyone thinks of using them- be warned- this is what their customer service is like.

What is wrong with people? If you can't be sensitive to brides and do things their way - don't go into this field!

What a tool! If this is how he treat prospective clients, can you imagine how he treats his clients once they book???

you definitely have good instincts!! what a loser!!

I'm using Starlight Express- Vinny is our MC…I love him!! We were also interested in Satisfaction Guaranteed (they've done many of FH's family's weddings and were great!)…..but they were already booked!

What a jerk. I personally like doing a lot of wedding stuff by email, as I'm normally very busy at work where I can't take a lot of personal calls, and I don't like bugging people in the evenings.

Be happy you're escaped even a meeting with this guy!

OMGOSH! Talk about unproffesional... I wouldn't think twice about shooting him back an e-mail thanking him for his courteous response and well wishes to a happy marriage and also let him know what rave reviews he'll get on a very popular Long Island wedding website.. make sure to wish him luck on his soon-to-be booming business!

Woah!!! That's so rude & I hope you go through with calling the BBB. I'm sorry that happened to you but at least you didn't book them & find out after wards that their jerks!!!

I'm flabergasted that is absolutely ridiculous-- I would call Channel 2 shame on you! He sounds like a wacko though- a normal person would not have dealt with a customer like that.
