I saw a videographer with my friend yesterday. He was AWFUL and my friend is going to use him anyway because he's 'cheap'. I thought I was bad when it came to $$ but i'd rather not have anything at all than to have somone below par.
Can anyone recommend anyone???
FH just tells me what he thinks I want to hear...originally when I said I didn't want a video he was like neither do I. I asked him again last night and he was like 'well it would be nice.'
UPDATE:
OK so hear's the story so far. FH is being too particular.
FH doesn't want to meet with Halo since they're in Queens. We live out east and they said we had to come to them.
We recieved a packet from Rambling Rose with a DVD and pricing information. FH says he's not sure he'd want to use them because they don't have anything on the video of a Jewish wedding.
So far I think i like Forever Video a little more though i'm still concerned about not being able to meet with them personally.
FH also insisted on making an appointment with Videotek next week since they are recommended by the RH . So far no one seems to have heard of them and I have no clue what their prices are like.
Any more suggestions?

I actually just threw out an ad from the wedding center in commack.. they were advertising for a video package for around 1K..
check em out - its worth a shot!

I wish I knew somone who actually used them, i've heard such mixed places about this place so i'm not sure how much I really trust em.

My photographer has somone that works with them in their office but its a riduculous price. I think more than $3k. I don't think they offered a package with both.

My video was $975 I also got the photographer too but they were running a deal. Doesnt hurt to try to see what they can do. Duvall photo& video Wantagh 516-783-0420

The main guy is based in Canada but he has a NYC guy that does all the NY weddings. They sent me a contract with a price quote and it was VERY reasonable. I think I might go with them but I wanted to see if I could work my photographers videographer into the budget. If not, then I'll go with Forever Video. They have the worsttttttt service... dont waste your time. I have been there, do a search and check out the reviews on this place. I heard Timeless Treasures has a good price but, I haven't checked it out yet

Forever Video is great! I used them for my wedding a month and a half ago -- already got my video and he did a fantstic job. VERY reasonably priced and they're the nicest guys. Check out my review on the review board for more info.

Check out Rambling Rose! They have some pretty basic packages that are affordable. I’ll probably be booking with them soon.

I think i'm going to check out Rambing Rose, Halo and Forever Video (though I'm a little nervous about using somone not in the area).
I really like the videos I saw online for FV so I dunno. I figure 3 places is enough?!?!
