update - went to Dr. this morning

i have a huge 'thing' (for lack of a better word) on my thyroid. they're not 100% sure what it is, but now that i look in the mirror- it is pretty obvious that something is there, don't know how I never noticed it. will be going back for a sono, more bloodwork, and then a biopsy.

I hope you feel better.

Try not to worry. I have a nodule on my thyroid that the doctor discovered 12 years ago. At first I was scared but they did the whole thing with sonogram, blood work, then they have to determine if its hot or cold (don't remember exactly what that meant) but lastly I had to get a biopsy and everything turned out fine.

They say most people have nodules and don't even know it. FM me if you want more info or need to talk :)

i am so sorry. a friend of mine at work is going through what sounds like the same thing... a goyter or something? I know she has been stressing over it, but most thyroid problems are treatable, so think positive and know you have lots of support : )
