Update with dress pics: BM dress shopping-Macy's Smith haven mall

Tonight we went BM dress shopping-I had picked out a few dresses and none of them looked great. When we first went into Macy's (I had made an appointment two weeks ago), they asked if I had an appointment and I said yes. They asked with a cheery smile-for your wedding gown??? I said no-I already bought it. This seemed to really pi$$ them off. They started asking where from and why I didn't get it from them-I explained that they were $600 more expensive and that since FH and I are paying for our own wedding-$600 is a lot to us. AFter this we were ignored.

I had a list of 5 dresses-all Bill Levkoff that I had picked out-they had all of them-but the lady wouldn't help us look-she checked in the computer and said-well we have them, but you'll have to find them!!!!!! ***?!?!?!? Do you want your commission?

After we found the dress-a jordan-yes I will post pics, we asked what colors it was available in-she handed me the color palate and walked away. Finally we narrowed it down and I was having a difficult time because the top of the dress only come in white, black, or .......drawing a blank on the official color-too lazy to get up-a light tan. Now my dress is ivory and I was a little worried it would blend in too much with the girls dresses-now another lady came over and repeated about 10 times-'It will look beautiful, it will look beautiful'. Finally I said-you can say it all you want-it doesn't mean it will!

They wanted us to order the dresses-I told them we would come back next week-I never lie-but to the nasty ladies at Macy's-I felt it was OK. They had me fill out this card-so I filled out a fake last name, fake address, and fake phone #-this way I don't get bothered by them. a$$holes!!!!

Update: Here is the dress-hopefully this works.
The top will be a very light cream/off-white color and the bottom will be chocolate.

I am so happy that someone else has had a bad experience there.

I was there on Friday for bride gowns and liked a few of them. Pressured to put a down payment even though I said that I wasnt sure. I really didnt know how many different ways to say no. I mwan the ladies took care of me for two hours...anyway I called and faxed a letter to them today to cancel my contract. I havent heard from them but I dont think that I will go back even though I did like the dress. (Not love it though)

I agree-we just felt really pressured and didn't like the way we were treated. I am sorry you had a bad experience too. I will also check out the vendor list. Thank you.

I also went macys recently in the Smithaven Mal with my mom, the woman was awful. She pushed and poushed us to make the sale even though I asked her 5 times what color the dress came in. The dress my mom tried on was black, and we did not want to order a black dress! The sales woman kept ignoring me when I asked her for the swtahced and then had the nerve to ask my mom in the dressing room, to go ahead and just order the black, and not worry about me etc. I was appaled. Thankfully Mom knew I was beyond approach at this point and she waited until later to tell me!!

I know some brides had an awful exp. with Bridal reflections, but we went there for my BM gowns and I have ordered 3 BM gowns myself over the past 3 years. The girls in Massapequa were very sweet and helpful thus far. Hope that helps! Good luck.

I dont understand why people are like that? Such AZZholes...someone needs to tell these people what they think about them.

I ordered my dress from them with no problems, thought the service was nice...it wasn't until I went with my bridesmaids that I started getting stressed out because of the service...the customer service wasn't the best...and this is the one vendor I am SO nervous about now because of my experience on the day my BM's ordered their dresses!

Sorry you didn't have a good experience with them. I know one woman there was fantastic and answered all of my questions and was very sweet, so I think it also depends on who you work with there.

I ordered y gown from them an although im losing alot of $$$ i know i will be happier w/the people im going w/now. Also at macys they talked me into getting a size 20 gown and at the other place im getting a size 16 pretty much the same shape gown so macys was way off and they did this to me w/ a BM dress last year i dont know what i was thinking

I called and complained today and told them I would be writing a letter. There are too many complaints about them.

My FSIL went to Macy's again tonight-she is also MOH in her friends wedding and the women there were nasty to them too!!!!!!-Maybe they were there when you were Tara.
