Updated! Bought one! YEA!Can anyone reccommend a nice DVD player, that isnt REAL expensive?

My birthday is this wednesday..Groudn hog day..YEA and we celebrated last night because Dex's surgery got rescehduled for my borthday
anyhow, so he knew I wanted some things for my trip to Ethiopia so he just gave me cash. One of the things I want is a portable DVD player, maybejust a 7 inch screen, nothing fancy, just to be able to wacth movies on the plane (its about 16 hours to get there!!!). I know nothing about what to look for really. I looked on amazon, but they have 9 pages of players ranging from 160-700 bucks. I have no idea how to tell whcih ones are any good.
Can anyone recommend a decent one and also please tell me where you bought it, and if it comes with a warranty? My truck came with a TV that flips down and a DVD player, so I dont really need one for the car, just for plane rides etc. Thanks alot!

I bought the Audiovox D18180 8 inch screen from ecost! they hada great specail and I read good things about this player!

My husband has bought quite a few Apex DVD players for work and they were on sale under $40. We also have one in our exercise room and haven't had any problems with them.

He got them at Sears and I am sure they come with a warranty.

Uggh I read too fast, not portable, sorry.
They might be good for the boys room though.

Have you tried Costco? We got ours there it was around $250 but they had cheaper options.

Oh and costco is great because they take anything back even if you have used it! We took our steam cleaner back because it got clogged and got a new vaccuum instead since we were done cleaning the carpet.

If your looking for an inexpensive portable, I suggest getting todays newsday and looking at Bext buy, Pc richard, Circuit city, and any other electronic stores flier. I would buy Audiovox, or Mintek, if you are looking for an inexpensive one. I have the home Cyberhome DVD player and I have to say it is an inexpensive but excellent DVD player. I am not sure how their portable one is but if you read the reviews on eopinions or if you do a search on circuitcity.com, they usually have customer reviews of all the items they sell, and also you can do a search on google.com on each model you are searching for and you will find reviews on that model.
