Fingers crossed!

If you move to Nassau, you won't have crazy neighborhood stories to tell us anymore!

Long Beach

Yeah! You'd be so close! That would be a much better commute for FH too!

Well, I think I WOWED them. Now if they offer it to me Im going to have a lot of things to do. Id take a $10 thousand pay cut but have much less work to do and MUCH less stress. Id have to find a new daycare and new place to live......

Not sure what to do. I was also told today that if I resign at my other job they can forcibly keep me there for 30 days while they find a replacement. :(

not to be rude, but I wouldnt get your hopes up and plan your move just yet. It is VERY difficult to get a job in Long Beach - I know many people that thought they aced the interview and didnt wind up getting it. I live in this town although I dont teach in it an dknow many teachers in the district. I wouldnt put my eggs all in one basket...

I'd have to agree. My old principal is a resident of Long Beach and is the president of the school board. He's a great man and was in education for 33 years. Unlike some boards, he''s a member that really knows both sides... as a life-long resident of LB (50 something years) and as an educator/administrator for 33!

Good luck but kdelace is right... it's tough out there. I interviewed for 3 years in the mid 90's in a much better economic climate than this before I got my public school job... oh, yeah and I had Advanced Placement experience. I can't tell you how many job interviews I thought I did great on only to learn...

Remember no matter what happens it will alll work out for the best.

I don't live or work on Long Beach. My old principal (I've been a teacher for 11 years) has lived in Long Beach his entire life and last time I checked was president of the school board.
