My cat who is 16 has been losing ALOT of weight in the past year, hardly keeps her food down (throws it up) and last night, the icing on the cake.... she urinated... but not in her litter box. I am soooo scared that she is dying and made an appointment to take her to the vet at 11:00 this morning. I cant stop crying because I am afraid that they are going to say there isnt anything they can do for her. But then I think to myself 'hey, she lived a long life' but its still not easy to do. I have had her since I was 15 years old

I called and cancelled because of my stupid sister. Then I was talking to my friend and she was like 'bring her!!!!!!!' so I called them back and the receptionist goes 'are you trying to make me nuts?!?!?!' ooops !!! So I am going to take her at 11.. screw what my sister thinks! Even just to give me peace of mind if nothing is wrong, Id rather take her and know that then to have something happen to her

The same thing exact thing happened to my cat. We gave her fluid injections and they really worked. It was like a nightly IV for her, and it seemed to make her more comfortable. When you take her to the vet ask for that.

Re: UPDATED-NWR sooooo nervous and scared.. need prayers :(
UPDATE...
My baby is fine! I took her to the vet and he said shes just fine. Well, its either an overactive thyroid (why cant I have that!!) or it might be diabetes, both of which can be treated! I am sooo happy that I now have the peace of mind that nothing is majorly wrong with her. everyone at the vet was going on and on about how pretty she is and how they cant believe how old she is. the vet also told me that shes not underweight like i thought and that if it happens to be diabetes, i should be glad that shes not fat!! ill find out the results of the blood work tomorrow!

Re: UPDATED-NWR Sasha is fine!!!!!!
Oh, Im so happy to hear that!!!! I felt awful this morning with your first post. Im so glad to hear everything is ok. Sounds to me like diabetes: the weight loss and the urination. Luckily it isnt the worst thing and it can be easily managed with medication
