UPDATED: Pissed and sad at the same time...

Okay...so now I'm just pissed and NO longer sad!!!
I emailed my Banquet Manager as you girls suggested that I do, and I was def. right. The premium liquors that she's mentioned to me, doesn't sound like Premium if you asked me!!!!!
She even had the nerve to email me and tell me that for a $3.00 pp upgrade, I can get all the liquors I've requested. I'm sooo heated because why wasn't this mentioned to me before???? Why wasn't that option given to me at the signing of my contract? Some future brides were smart enough to ask what type of liquor they were receving on the day of their wedding, but that was never a question that came to my mind to ask, given the location and the amount per head I was paying and especially given that this is my first time planning a wedding so how was I to know this was an issue!?!?!?

Am I wrong to assume that the Banquet Manager should have told me this from the beginning and laid this all on the line?

If there are any ladies out there that plan on using Crest Hollow Country Club for their wedding reception, please be sure to ask them about their damn liquor...b/c God forbid you don't...it's your fault!!!! FM me if you need to know the name of the Banquet Manager to avoid her unprofessional services!!! I'm paying wayyy too much money for her nonsense!

Here goes my story:

I was having a convo with another Future Bride who's having her reception and ceremony at the same place I'm having mines.

Through casual conversation, I learnt that my Banquet manager never told me that my price per person didn't include top shelf liquor!!!! For some ppl, they may know to ask these questions...but I really don't. This is my first time for everything, I feel a bit peeved that my BM didn't mention that I was getting premium stuff!!! I'm soooo angry.

Am I wrong to think that way I'm thinking? Should she have not told me It was not going to be top shelf, and should I have not been giving an option???

Just as they give food options in a package, shouldn't that have been done with liquor as well???

Now I don't know what to do and I'm just so damn pissed!

What does your contract say? How about the brochure they gave you when you met with them?

I would be angry too!

all my contract says is 'unlimited liquor during smorgasboard and dinner'.... but it doesn't state what t ypes of liquor.

typically they will tell you its top shelf when it is. they include it in their pitch while trying to book you. if they DONT mention it, chances are, it isnt top shelf.

I'm at my office right now where it's way to quiet to discuss. I plan on calling at 1:00 PM when I know my BM arrives.

You're right I might be worrying myself over nothing, but in the same light I spoke with another girl who's having her reception on the same day and dealing with the same BM as me. She was smart enough to ask, so I'm assuming that at this moment I'm not getting top shelf liquor

I'll keep you guys posted once I find out.... hopefully it'll be a rave instead of a rant this time!! uggh!
