UPDATED - Please help me choose black tie optional dress for a wedding

So we have a wedding in a few weeks that's at a resort in Virginia. The invites say 'black tie optional' and I'm clueless... So I had DH take pictures of me in every dress I own tonight and could really use your help, ladies!

I'm going to the outlet mall tomorrow and if none of these cut it, I'll buy a new dress. DH says I don't buy the right dresses for my body. If I knew how to do that, I would!!!! ::sigh::

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

You guys are amazing!!! I looked at everything you suggested and I love them all!!! I am definitely going to go shopping and see what I can find. I'll be back with updates hopefully soon!

The other dress I have that I could possibly wear is the one I wore to my RD that's also what I wore to a wedding a few weeks ago. I think it might be too 'light' for the middle of November, though.

It only hits just below my knee though.

I think it is to summery. Use it as a chance to go shopping.

i think #3 is most black tie optional dress but I think you look awesome in dress #1

Out of the ones your posted, I think #4 looks nicest, but I think they are all too big on you!! You should use this opportunity to get a little black dress (LBD!) that you can wear to many different events. Check out White House Black Market or Ann Taylor!

Ok, I would say to do #2 and wear beautiful gold jewelry with a gold or ivory silk shall (not the jacket - looks a little business-y to me)

I really like number 3 but I def think that if you decide to wear it you need to take it to a tailer.

Also try David's Bridal...they have a lot of dresses in the store that you can buy off the rack.

I took all your suggestions and found something I think is really nice today! It's strapless, gown-length, black with white trim. It comes with a scarf, but I don't think I'll use it.

What do you think???

(I can return it if it's no good or if DH doesn't love it.)

I honestly would never have dreamed of wearing strapless if it weren't for all of your suggestions! Thank you EVERYONE! I'll try to get you a better picture soon.

Now... would rockin' the bright red stilettos be too much? lol
