UPDATED - Today is the 5yr anniversary of the day I met FH

I bet he has no clue, 'cause we never celebrate it (we celebrate May, when we actually started dating), and I never mention it.

BUT I planned a fun night - he wants me to go to Staples w/ him to do something for a lesson he has to give, blah blah blah, so I'm going to get him to let me drive.

On this night 5 yrs ago, I was in 11th grade, he was in 12th, and we were both on the track team. We had dinner in a local chinese restaurant, then drove to the KP Bluff to kill some time before heading to the high school for our cheesy little sports awards.

So I'm going to drive him to staples, then head straight to the Chinese restaurant (thank goodness it hasn't closed!), then to the bluff.

I saved the program from the sports awards that night, and I'm bringing it with me tonight. He always says how much he loves what I was wearing that day, so I recreated it for tonight (the original no longer fits - my boobs were HUGE before the reduction!)

Can't wait to see his reaction - he'll probably think I'm being silly. Oh well!!! That's my job, isn't it? Keep him smiling...

Happy Anniversary...Todays a GREAT day for that

well I'm home already, and tonight pretty much $ucked.

FH got home from work late, then took an hour to 'gather his pictures' to bring to Staples for the enlargements.

So I get to his house, and he's all bummed out in jeans and a ny giants fleece While I'm nice and dressed. He wouldn't change 'cause he 'didn't want to wear a shirt - he had one on all day.'

Then his mother gave him a giant guilt trip for leaving because she cooked chicken parm for him.

So we get to Staples, the copy girl was on her hour break and we couldn't leave anything for her. They told us to come back in an hour.

We left Staples and headed to the Chinese restaurant...and OMG, TMI grossness warning : halfway through our dinner, we hear the chef clear the phlegm from his throat and spit 6 times. IN THE KITCHEN. Needless to say, we left $20 on the table and left.

Instead of going to the bluff next, we headed back to Staples. The girl told us '5 minutes', but it ended up being 50 minutes. They closed at 9, we were there til 9:20.

Then we headed to the bluff - even though we were both irritated...it was locked up and we couldn't get in....AND I almost hit a fence pole because there was NO lighting down there and there was a random fence pole sticking up in the middle of the parking lot!

I took FH home, now I'm home, and my tummy hurts.

Some day.

I think we'll just do something extra special for the dating anniversary.

I looked into a helicopter tour over NYC - it's $200 for 10 minutes! PER PERSON!!! Plus tax, grat, heliport fees, etc.

I need a better idea!

OUCH...that's insane! You could definately do something a lot better (and something that lasts a lot longer!) for that much money!
