Re: Royal Caribben vs Princess
FH and I have been on 2 Princess cruises. We had a fantatstic time on both!!!! We liked the anytime dining option because then you are not tied down to a specific seating time for dinner like many other ships. It is an older crowd, but since you are going on your honeymoon, it is probably okay cause you aren't really going to want to be partying all night...or are you??? :)

FH and I did a Princess cruise to Alaska and had a blast. It was geared toward a bit of an older crowd but we were thrilled to have lots of downtime and just relax. The anytime dining thing was a huge plus for us as well.

Re: Royal Caribben vs Princess
we have never done royal caribbean and have only done carnival cruises and have gone on a few with them already. for our HM we are going on a royal carribean one, so we are excited to try this cruise line cause we have heard such great things about them from friends and family who have taken plenty of cruises with royal carribean. they actually say its the best cruise line, so i dont think you will be dissapointed! :)

The princess cruise has lots of days at sea....are you sure you want that? Have you cruised before. The days at sea will get boring after 1....JMO but I would hate that, granted there's lots to do on the ship but two consecutive days is too much for me.

I did that exact Princess cruise out of NY twice. We loved it both times!!! The days at sea are so much fun, honestly. There is SO much to do on board the ship besides laying by the pool. Also, the ease of not having to fly is simply amazing!!! Since we live in NYC, we just had to take a cab to and from the ship, it was awesome!!!!!!!!

I took a carnival cruise from NY to the caribbean and i loved the days at sea because it FORCES you to relax!! I was so happy not having to have an itinerary. i just laid out by the pool while FH went played at the casino and all around the boat. we are both active people but i liked the days at sea. JMHO

Oh for SURE. The thing is, cruises have LOTS of activities, you're on shore for the entire day and then come in to shower, have dinner, go out dancing ect.....the days at sea are great for vegging out, sunning and 'fun' in your room....but 2 days in a row? It might be a bit much. I would rather fly to Miami for the other cruise. You will have fun on either one, FH and I got engaged on a Princess cruise in Europe....fantastic!!!!
Beware- you will gain weight!!! Theres SO MUCH food
This site may help, will give you candid reviews on your ship and possibly your intineraries: http://cruisecritic.com/

Re: ** Updated with possible itinerary**Royal Caribben vs Princess
We went on a royal carribean cruise 2 years ago and we are doing it for our honeymoon too! It was def the best vacation either of us has ever had! I 100% reccommend them, also with your question about the days at sea, really think about if you will be ok with it. Especially since it is your first cruise, it is weird to know you cant get off the boat, so just think about it. Also the dinners that are scheduled are awesome, we sat at a table with people around our age, and we took the late dinner so we could rest up if we wanted to and had time to shower and stuff. I could go on and on about this vacation so if you want any other info feel free to fm me! HTH!
