*Updated*Another one with an interview...

I know a lot of you grls have been mentioning, so you can add me to that list.

I have an interview and its literally a block from my apartment!!!! I could walk there if i got the job. Thats a way to save money :)

I can't stand working temp for a company that won't let their temps do anything. Sometimes I wonder why i'm even here.

*Update* Another one with an interview...

I don't know what I'm thinking anymore when it comes to jobs. I have expectations that never seem to be met. I psych myself up and only get dissapointed. Maybe i've just set the bar too high???? I probably shouldn't have mentioned anything at all :(

It's sad that a temp job could look so good compared to this place (and sadly most places in my mind). I hate that companies really have cut down on what they offer

As soon as HR told me the crappy benefits, that was enough for me. I know I hate where I am right now but sometimes I have to put that aside. Yeah it would be nice with how close to home the job is.

They were looking for somone with 1-2 years experience, I have about 8. It would probably end up a large pay cut from where I am now. Health insurance would be just as much as i'm spending on Cobra. It might be different if I weren't working but at least I'm working with a temp agency that offers time off and holidays once I work a certain numer of hours.

She left me in the lobby to wait for the manager. As soon as she got there to see me, I said i'm sorry, i'm not interested, I think I might be a little too overqualified for the position. Thanks anyway.

I guess I should be happy I have something at all. I shouldn't complain.

That stinks, but, you'll find something! Good luck in your search!

i'm sorry! you are right though - don't settle bc sometimes if you settle then you get comfortable and 'stuck' in a job as long as you have a job right now - there is no need to rush into anything

good luck on your continued search - not sure what your field is. . . but i work for the government and i love it. . .

Where do you work?

Both my parents have gov't jobs and keep on telling me to take more tests but i haven't seen anything available I'm interested in. Right now i'm working temp for a gov't agency (kind of). From what i've heard it could take up to a year for them to hire me.

What do you do as a temp? What kind of job responsibilities are you looking for? I can always keep an eye out for job postings at my job....
