UPDATED!!freaking out - homeowners help!!!

placed a bid on a home today and have not heard back yet!! but i am FREAKING out - i think i am going to take a heart attack. my nerves are shot, and i can't eat - this is nuts!!

someone please humor me and tell me this is normal.....

this is our first bid.....and i learned i do not like bidding. it adds undue stress -i can't calm down - it should be instantaneous - like 'yes your a homeowner' or 'no you didn't get it'

UGGGGHHHHHHH.........

WE GOT IT!!!! I AM A HOMEOWNER!!!!

You do seem a little freaked out. relax, it will work out, don't add extra stress to your life when you don't need to. I know it must be frustrating but try to stay positive. It took my mom 6 months to sell her house, she was sure she was never gonna find a buyer and then one day....wham, house sold !!!!

Whoa...calm down...breathe...anyone who has bought a house will tell you not to get your hopes up. You put the bid in and you forget about it. In fact, you forget about it until you are in contract. Anything can happen until then. Also keep in mind that if you don't get it now, things may change and you may get your bid accepted later. Sometimes first accepted bids fall through. It happened to us.

Try to get your mind on other things for now. Also, I like to think that if it's meant to be your house...then it will be.

Good luck hun-I hope you get it!

Re: freaking out - homeowners help!!!

we didnt find out if the owners accepted our bid until the next day- so try to relax as best as you can. it is so nerve wracking, but just know that so much can happen even after the bid is accepted or not accepted. If they take someone elses offer, it could fall through, they may not pass inspections, mortgages may fall through! It is truly a grueling process but well worth it in the end when you have the house of your dreams and something to call your own! Keep your head up!

I've been there...it's not fun. I had the WORST experience with the house we just bought. Picture how you are feeling today, and it went on for about 5 weeks until we actually closed on the house. I learned a LOT from that transaction.....it is most important to have a good person doing your loan, that is the #1 reason I was a stresscase...i can't imagine doing it now, while planning a wedding...omg.

yes, bidding is stressful! FH and I actually lost out on the first house we bid on, but now that we closed on our new house, we are so grateful that happened.

Try to relax, yes it's stressful, from start to finish, it took 8 weeks for us to close on the house once the owners accepted our bid. But the initial bid went back and forth for a while. Try to hang in there!
