UPDATED:I just got a REALLY BAD call from Kleinfelds about my dress!
Kleinfelds called me. Someone else who ordered my dress just had hers come in. The dress which has a ton of lace on it was in a different color than the sample we tried on. The original dress was ivory in color and so was the fabric. Now the lace is a darker color than the fabric, giving the dress a two-toned look.
I now need to go see the dress. If I don't like it, they will refund my money. I give Kleinfelds credit that they even called me and the other five girls. I think a lot of places would not have said anything in fear of losing money.
Girls, I am freaking out. I am trying to remain calm...but something tells me that I will need to start looking for a new dress with only 87 days left.
UPDATE: Well I trekked to brooklyn and the dress looked exactly the same to me. I would have never noticed that some of the lace flowers were outlined in a darker ivory. So all is good.
But I must commend Kleinfelds for calling me and giving me the option of getting any new dress that I wanted. This is the benefit of getting your gown at a store that does such a large business. They would have been able to order me any dress and get it in time.

Don't panic - go and see the dress and make your decision from there. Do they still have the sample in the store that you tried on? Maybe you could buy that one?
I definitely give Kleinfelds credit for calling you - that is great customer service. I'm sure they'll do anything to make you happy.

I hope everything works out. If you end up not liking the way the dress looks...I bet Kleinfelds will do whatever they can to get you a new dress that you'll love just as much.

The sample was kind of beat up and they needed to change the top of the dress to fit my big boobs. The sample was for small boobs.

Maybe the sample was old and discolored, and now the newer dress is not (that could be why the top is a lighter color on the newer one . . .) Good luck- I hope it all works out!!!

call Kleinfeld and ask to speak with Ron Rothstein he is wonderful and will make sure all turns out well and you get just you wanted. He is wonderful to work with.
