*Updated*NWR:Wafflez and Flapjack *Now with PICS*

They both have wet tail. This is usually fatal for hamsters. We havent even had them a week, and I've already gotten so attached to them.

I know it might sound silly, but if you don't mind including two adorable baby hamsters in your prayers we'd all really appreciate it.


*Update*
Well they both made it through the night. They look a little better however, they are not out of trouble yet. We are going to totally scrub half their mansion while they are in the other part and then do the other one. We're hoping to get the germs out of their house since it's so contagious.

They are still eating and it looks like they've been drinking a bit too. Both very good signs.

the one in the wheel is Flapjack and the other one with the evil glowing red eyes is Waffelz

They are both looking much better today. we seperated them so that if one gets better she wont get sick from the other again. Flapjack is runnin around like a crazy hamster and seems to be doing really well.
Waffelz is still feelin crappy *no pun intended but she's getting better every day.

thank you. i feel kinda silly sitting here sobbing over hamsters... but they are so cute, and we JUST named them and i'm so excited about them and we got them a hamster mansion and did everything right.

i hate that they are just babies and probobly wont make it through the night. i mean... they're BABIES!!

It's unfortunate but it's very common in pet store hamsters.
They don't seem to be suffering, if they show signs of being in pain we'll deal with it. right now they are snuggling.

we gave them some medicine. hopefully it helps

they are very young babies and are not doing well.
we gave them the otc meds but our vet does not handle wet tail in hamsters
if we call them, they'll tell us to put them down.

and in all honesty, we do not have the money to afford the full wet tail treatment at this moment. we have had them less than a week and put down payments on our band and photo and video this week as well... if we'd known they'd get sick so soon we would have put money aside but we figured they'd be okay.

i feel like a horrible pet mom. seriously, i feel like all the other pets in the apartment are looking at me like 'mommy, why arent you helping them?? if i get sick will you help me??'
and i start crying hysterically.

Oh yeah, this happened to my old pet hamsters too....

awww ill pray for them!

Oh that is so upsetting. I will definitely pray for them.

OMG!!! I am so sorry. It is not silly. Pets are family members. I will keep them in my prayers.
