Can someone please give me a general idea of updo prices? I'm looking to bring my bridesmaids to a salon and so far Ihave been told $60-$80. Does that sound good or bad? Seemed high to me since it's only like $35 for a haircut.

You are going to get a wide awakening when you contact vendors here. I am hearing $65 for trials and $100 to $150 for weddind day. About the same for make-up.
That's crazy! $200 to $250 for an updo. I think the minute people say wedding they see $$$$$$$
I may forget the whole thing myself and go to a local salon. I had my updo done last year for my best friend's wedding last year and it cost me $100.00 for hair and $55.00 for make-up and I thought that was expensive. The other salon I had used on the north shore had charged me $55 for updos.
Maybe someone here can help us understand and justify the cost.

you just have to do a lot of searching. i was turned onto my stylist my a fellow liw bride who used her for her wedding. she comes to you and its $65/updo for anyone (bride, bm, whoever) and trials are $30/updo. if you want more info, just call hairspray salon in nesconset and ask for denise w. i am going to do a trial with their makeup girl also, $75 day of and $45 for trial, no minimum which is good bc i don't think my girls will be splurging for makeup. good luck girls! ~lacey

My salon prices start at $85 for BM's updo's, $125 for the bride.

Lacey..Those are excellent prices for make-up and updos. The cheapest I've seen so far. I think I may give them a call. I will be all the way out in Riverhead the night before my wedding, and getting married in Stonybrook, So it's good that they are in Nesconset, not too far.

The salon that I am getting my hair done at quoted us at $65 per person for an updo. I'm not sure if that is how much it is going to cost for my hair or just my BMs.
