Is it worth it to upgrade to have a live bass player in the band or just use the backup base on the keyboard instead? Thoughts? We're torn...

Hank Lane, Dane wright band. Right now the bass is backup digitally on the keyboard. we have 5 pieces and were debating adding the live bass. I'm just not sure how much people will really even notice for the extra $650?
