ok..........so now that I know what uplighting is, are you guys getting it???
If so, do you know roughly how much that goes for??? I never thought about it until I realized what exactly it was and I think it looks cool!!
Our colors are brown and pink....what color uplighting would go with that????
TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Uplighting
Floral Terrace has uplighting built into the walls
If our hall didn't provide it for us we wouldn't get it and pay for it.

Re: Uplighting
I hear it's around $500. I love the way it looks, but wondering if it's really worth the extra money. Do you get to pick the colors? I thought it just randomly goes through all different colors.

Re: Uplighting
I was going to add it to my package, but then I contacted my RH and they said I don't have to add it because they have added their own uplighting to the room that I am using

Re: Uplighting
i think uplighting looks very pretty...it just doesnt really go with the decor in my RH...the only thing i have considered is doing all amber uplighting just to add a warm glow to the room but its something that can be added at teh very end if the budget allows.

yeah it doesn't really go with mine either - so i really just plan on keeping the colors white and pink most of the night and than partying my dj can switch it up

I know! It's ridiculous!! I would love the uplighting, but this is getting crazy now. We'll have to see what happens as we get closer to the wedding and have to make all those cash payments.

Who is your DJ? Mine said they'd give us a good price at a showcase, but I haven't really gone in to talk to him about it.

Re: Uplighting
uplighting was about $45-50 a light and pinspotting is around 15-25 a light. gobo monogram thing is like 250. overall im trying to spend less then 1k. i want to get 20 uplighting, 15 pinspots and the monogram for 1k. my florist quoted me a lil higher and all the djs i looked at quoted me the same. hopefully i can get the price down with the florist.

Re: Uplighting
I am getting my uplights for $45/each...and they are the ones that transition colors, or stay stationary on 1 color.

Re: Uplighting
this was actually a priority for me. i love lighting and how it can transform a room.
the lighting is built in at our RH, and it was a selling point for me. one less thing to worry about.
but if it didnt have it, i would DEFINATELY get it.
