Hi everyone. I met with a DJ this weekend for the first time. I really like them but the uplighting was more expensive than I was expecting. They quoted me $1000, but made it $900 when I told them that was too much. I really want uplighting but I do not want to spend to much. I am meeting another DJ this week to find out how they compare.
What has everyone spent on uplighting?

really depends on how many lights you are using, and how much is in your budget for them
we got them through our band for 50 bucks a light .

He told me for our room we'd need about 20 lights so I guess $1000 is about right.

Check with your hall first to see if they have added/are adding uplighting. Most halls are adding it lately. Also - check with your florist to see if they do it. We originally booked through our florist and they were only charging $500.
