My wedding is the day before yours and it's at 6:30 pm and my bm's dreses will be a little below the knee.....it's summer, it's hot, they won't want to wear long dresses IMO

Ladies, honest opinions please..... My wedding is in the summer and I thought it would be nice to have BM dresses that fell below the knee and I thought it looked very summery.... Now I was just reading a post and saw that an evening wedding would be best to have a long gown. I didnt even think of that. The ceremony is at 6pm...granted it'll still be light out at 6pm.... but do you think my wedding is going to look 'less formal' now?![]()

Oh goodness..I hope you arent talking about my post from 09! I didnt say it would be BEST i just preferred the second dress...the rules of long/short gowns and color rules are GONE! You have to pick what you want your girls to be in! It doesnt matter the time of day! if you were in the winter at night i might say ehh go for a long gown...but you are in the summer so tea length is still quite perfect!! Smiles hunny, it will be beautiful!!!

It was the one that said something about it being 'less formal' if its a shorter gown. After that, it got me thinking and I got all worried... Fh told me I was thinking crazy lol....Thanks Lauren!

you will be fine with the tea length...
You can do absolutely whatever you want. My sister's wedding was day after Thanksgiving at night, and we had tea length dresses, and no one said anything to us about it. So if we can do tea length in fall, you can def do it in summer!

I've worn long at 10 am and short at 6 pm
No rules!
My girls are wearing short,my 2 moh are wearing long..and our party will be formal attire-I just thought it would be more fun to have the girls in short party dresses. Plus they can show off their shoes!
im on a fri night and i chose tea length cause thats what i wanted,,i dont care what the rules say..do what u want
I don't think it matters. I think that dresses below the knee are fine.
It's the summer time don't worry. Short dresses will be fine.
My wedding was a Saturday evening in the end of April and my girls wore t-length. It's your wedding, you get to choose.
