leaving to go to maryland in a few hours to visit with FIL's who are making our centerpieces. to make a long story short- i need suggestions on flowers that would be nice for an autumn wedding, in a *low* centerpiece. so far i've only looked online but like birds of prardise and dahlia. any others?!?!? thanks girls!!!

The pumpkin idea is cute or flowers with some nice fall colors and fall leaves in there.

Here is a list: leonides roses spider mums mango callalilies hypericum berries yellow aster (as a filler) red/yellow/orange gerbera daisys
If you would have told me I could have sent you pics.........I'm e-mailing you a pic right now of a centerpiece I saw - all fall colors.

girl you ladies rock!! yes i have been looking at the hypericum berries too. pumpkins are cute, except our FILs are actally making the vase/canisters/flower-holders
This has the spider mums and the leonides roses in it.

attica good one. i like the idea of using sticks and twigs... im concerned at the height FILs are making the vases, i am trying to tell them that *right in your line of sight* height is BAD!!

we are doing something very similar, FMIL wanted to help with centerpieces. I'm planning on getting low glass bowl and ordering the floating gardenia's online. I can send you the flower website tonight...

hi marcia--- yes!! i love the idea of the floating flowers too.. problem is FILs are potters and are making things out of clay for us without even asking what we wanted. i want to give them some direction before they continue. hope having them help does not backfire in my face hahaha
I went to a fall wedding and they had fruit interspersed witht heir flowers. It looked AMAZING. Very classy and different in a Thanksgiving kind of way
