URGGH! Help.... long sry

FH has 5 brothers and sisters and early one we discussed how to include them all. We decided his 20 yr, old sis and my good friend would be a BM and his 2 brothers would be a GM. Then it came to his 2 sisters, ages 8 and 13.

We didnt know what do to do, so we decided to include them in the ceremony but differently through a reading or handing our rice and whatnot. I didnt want the 8 year old to be a fg cause i thought htat was too old and the 13 yr old is REALLY small built like a 8 yr old so i was afriad that we couldnt get her a dress. We discussed this months ago and I assumed it was okay but FH told me his sisters and mom are mad at ME for doing things this way. We both decided this and why didnt they tell me earlier. Is it too late to ask them now?

What would you do? How would you include them.

Geez... I am so fed up with wedding planning.

Is it too late to make them Junior Bridesmaids?

You think they are insulted that you didn't include all the family in the BP?

Junior Bridesmaid, I agree is a good solution also...good luck on whatever you decide.

Yes, but we discussed before! And no one said anything. I was concerned cause we wanted it small and he has 5 brothers and sisters.

Maybe I will do that. But his sister will be in 8th grade and my sister MOH will be in 10th. Wouldnt is be weird is the 8th grader will be a Jr BM --Also, is it too late to order dresses?

FH has 12 brothers and sisters. My idea was to try and include them all too but luckily his side was extremely understanding and just the older ones are going to be in the bridal party...but then get this....

I have 6 little cousins who are too old to be FG and RB but too young to be in the BP so I gave them each a task for the ceremony and my side is giving me such a hard time about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They want them in the BP!!!!!!!!!!

HOW IS THAT FAIR?????????

Can I also say something else?

Don't try to please everyone. Just because they bring up something they disagree with does not mean you HAVE to go and change everything around. I know it will cause tension btwn you and them but you have the chance to nip it in the bud now. You have the chance to stand up for what you and you fiance decided. If you do this...what's next? They may try to change everything on you. JMO...please don't take it the wrong way.

Sorry this is happening to you

8th grader for Junior BM-I don't think it would be weird. Perfect age i think. My Junior BM will be in 10th grade when i get married, and is taller than me! They make special dresses for younger girls, that don't look like flower girl dresses, and NO Way is it too late. Or some BM dresses come with detachable straps, like Bill Levkoff, my Jr BM will have the same dress as BM but she will use the straps, while the other girls will be strapless.

Go now though, it take a couple months for dresses to come in. I ordered my BM dresses in January 04 and they came in March.

Side note-It is totally unfair of them to put you in this position this late in the game, but If i were you I wouldn't want to cause issues with my new immediate family from the getgo--We all make sacrifices for our family, it just 2 more of his sisters..It is a shame that family members think they have to right to be in someone's wedding!!!

No I don't think it would be weird b/c she is you MOH and your sister.

Maybe you can get the same dress for the younger girl in a size 1 and alter it.. with the extra material they can add cap sleeves or something- that is what we did for my younger sister.

Maybe you could have the older sis ( the 8th grader) be a jr BM and the younger one be a trainer bearer.

if its going to be such a hassle i woud make them jr brides maids but IMO if you decided something and they never said they didn't like the idea then its too late. too bad to sad. i think you should stand up for yourself but like i said if it will be a major hassle go with jr BM.
