one of my patients is getting married this august and bought a used wedding band from someone , the person she bought it from is still married i guess just upgraded, isn't this bad luck to buy a used wedding band? what do you girls think?

If they are still married, I wouldnt think it was bad luck... but why would anyone want someone elses ring? something that is sooo important and carries soo much meaning!! If its a price thing, you can always buy an inexpensive ring and have it be brand spankin new... JMO

you dont hear of that very often but I see no problem with it. a good cleaning and im sure it will be perfect. Maybe thats what they could afford, maybe the ring is from someone they know or maybe it is unique and really wanted it.
as far as bad luck.. i dont believe in that stuff.. so i think its fine!

I don't see anything wrong with it. The ring is just a symbol. It's the vows and the marriage that counts.

you know what happens when an engagement gets called off or the wedding ends in a few years??? They sell the ring back and it gets a fresh dip and buff and diamonds are checked and back on the market! You will never know and it could be the case of the engagement ring you are wearing right now.
Diamonds are always taken out of settings and changed around. You would be shocked to find out the majority of rings or stones that you have been used before.
So in the end i find it not such a big thing.

i agree....it is definately the vows and marriage that counts, it shouldnt matter where the ring came from. i dont see a problem with it. personally i would not want a ring that had been traded in before, but maybe they were able to get a good price on something by getting it that way.

yeah, my fiance went to harry winston and they told him that their rings are actually used diamonds that are reset! i was surprised when he told me!
