Using salon for wedding hair

Using salon for wedding hair

Do you think $325 is too much for me to pay as an 'early opening' fee . The salon is opening up for me at 5 am and I believe 3 girls will be working. This is not including what we have to pay for 2 BM hair , moms hair and my hair....thats an extra $300 for the actual services. The total is $650.

This seems very high to me!

Wow! Like I posted on your other thread, I've never heard of an openig fee (until now). But we just went to a regular hair salon, not a spa or anything too fancy.

I've never heard of an opening fee! You're brining in business for them. And it's not like you're just getting a wash-you're brining in GOOD business for them; as well as a pretty good tip.

I'd maybe look elsewhere or try to get them to get rid of that fee. That's just crazy to me.

That sounds sooooo ridiculous to me!!! You can spend less money having a hair stylist travel to you!

Oh hell no! My salon has opened early for me at no charge before. I'd go somewhere else.

That's an insane amount of money to open early. I have been in 2 BP's where the bride requested the salon open earlier and neither one was charged anything.

they say it is to pay the girls...its still alot right? $325 for 2 hours which includes 3 hairdressers. 5-7 am

I am hesititant to have someone come to me. I guess because I get nervous that if she doesnt show up, I am screwed!

When you go with a private hairstylist like some of the vendors on here, do you ever get nervous that they wont show up?

I think thats quite a bit!!! You could hire stylist to come to your house for THAT price!!

That is crazy. I understand that you are concerned about the person not coming to you but the same concern would apply whether they are going to the salon or coming to your house! Just because you are going to the salon does not guarantee that she will show up!

So they are charging you $325 to pay the 3 hair stylists?

What's the other $325 going towards then?

That makes no sense at all. So they are going to open the salon early to you for 2 hrs from 5-7 charge you an opening fee then charging you another $325 to actually do you and your bridal party's hair?

Re: Using salon for wedding hair

Yes! The $325 is just to pay 3 girls fro 2 hours and open up early from 5-7. The other $325 is for the actual services of doing our hair (1 bride and 4 bridesmaids). They have been 'working' on a new price for about a week now. She said she would have it to me by Monday...2 days ago..it is wednesday. I think its time to look elsewhere.
