I need your help! I really LOVE the Shania Twain song 'From this Moment' (or whatever it's called) but one of my BMs used it for her 1st dance back in 2004. Should I pick something else?

its popular and common so i think its ok to use. If it was a very unique song that is not really used then maybe somebody would not be that thrilled with it since they went out of their way to do something very different and meaningful to them. But once its something popular its up for grabs lol

that was and is a very popular wedding song so it shouldnt be a big deal. i might just mention it to my bm in passing like you know fh and i were thinking of using this song and see how she reacts. but in the end if you love the song go with it regardless of her rection

I think enough time has elapsed that it wouldn't be completely inappropriate.
That being said, I personally wouldn't use it, but it's because I would feel funny and I would want to be unique. If you're asking the question in the first place, you probably feel the same way too. So if there's any question in your mind, talk to her, if nothing else to put your mind at ease.

It depends on how u feel. If you feel uncomforbale with it don't do it. But if you are ok with it go for it.

Funny you posted this question b/c I love that song too, but Fh's brother used it for his First song at their wedding in 2003 so we opted on not using it.I think it'll feel a little weird especially since they're brothers. But in your case its just a friend so I say go for it.
