UUGGGGHHHHH!make it stop!!!!

What do you do for a 6 month old baby, whos usually the best-never cries- whos been crying non stop for almost 6 days!!!!

Alex's teething, already has 2 teeth and the top one is trying to break through... He has no fever. He has a runny nose.

The dr. wont do nything unless he has a fever. He told me to give him Baby Tylenol for the pain and Orajel... But what if youve given him that, and changed his diaper, his outfit and just finished giving him a bottle... And he just wont close his eye and you know hes exhausted?!?!?!?!

Any suggestions? Im on the verge of a break down and need suggestions.. Hes finally asleep, and I gotta rest.. Help!! (thanks for letting me vent!)

Did you try giving him a pacifier? That worked for someone I know.

wet washclothes put in the freezer for a few..give it to them to **** on ..it helps...frozen bagels too... I heard that if you dip your finger in pickle juice (from the jar of course!) and then rub the gums, this natural juice will help the tooth break through.

Try to find someone to watch the little one for a while and go out for a walk. You probably need a break too!

Your doctor will not even see your child?
Then I would get a new doctor! Can it be an ear infection or UTI/Kidney infection? That is crazy, IMO that the doctor will not 'do anything' to help you.

I wouldn't just assume it is teething. I would want to know for sure

You need lots of

If a child had an ear infection or a kidney infection, they would definitely run a fever as a symptom. So, it's a pretty safe assumption that it is just teething - and most doctors would say to try the Tylenol and see how he's doing before asking to bring the child in for an exam. This is normal for the child's age and the non-stop crying is just the way this child is dealing with his discomfort.

I am sorry you're so strung out...but, try the frozen washcloth and see if that helps. Definitely give him something cold or hard to chew to help that tooth BREAK through already! Poor little guy!

I would definlty look into calling the dr. again My son is usually whiney and fussy when teething. His ear infections are rarely accompanied by fever. Every child's body is different.
For him when he is crying for long periods of time he's sick. He's had strep throat, an ear infection, bronchitis and most recently whooping cough.
Not all at the same time mind you but on each occasion, it accompanied long periods of screaming and sleeplessness for him and me.
