Vacation pics

These are from our recent vacation to New Hampshire. Not too many foliage shots since hubby took most of those with his 'big cameras' (aka The Big A$$ Nikons!! ). These are some that were taken with the digital.

The rustic log cabin.

The next few pics are inside the cabin. All the comforts of home!!

Here are a couple of the lake that our cabin was on. The rainbow was one night just before we had dinner.

These were taken of and on Mount Washington in NH. Yes the white stuff is snow! It snowed 2 nights while we were there.

My crazy husband standing on the edge of a mountain so he could get the best pictures!

A few assorted pics. This is one of the 3 moose that we saw and were able to photgraph.

These last pics are for the Yankee Candle Lovers out there. This is their main store in Deerfield, Mass. This store is huge!!! You can spend a day there easily! It's so big you can't fit the building in one picture! It's about 3- 3 1/2 hours from here but worth the trip.

Where in NH? We go up there every now & then, close to Claremont.

We also love Ashland, NH....the Common Man Restaurants/lounges kick a$$

I wish the cabin was ours! I loved it. It's located in a small town called Pittsburg that is in Northern NH. It's about 25 minutes from the border of the US an Canada. The cabin is part of a lodge called Tall Timber. They have several different cabins that you can rent. You can cook yourself since the cabin is a housekeeping cabin and comes with everything except food or you can eat in their restaurant which has the most incredible food imaginable. We loved it and are already planning to go back again.

Jenn I was thinking of you when I was in there. You would go crazy! They have so much stuff and just about every candle scent you can imagine. You could always do it as a day trip.

We also went to Freeport, Maine to the LL Bean store. Most of the shopping was done at the outlet stores in New Hampshire because they have NO SALES TAX!! We came home with so much stuff that we were running out of room!

Jamie I know what you mean. I love the mountains. To get an idea of how high up we were in this pic you can see a ski area below us!!
