My sisters and I are looking to go somewhere warm in January. Any suggestions for someplace warm, fun & relaxing, thats not too pricey?
We want to leave the US since my younger sister is only 19 (we don't want to worry about her not being able to get into bars/clubs).
They're in NY, I'm in CA - we've been looking at Mexico and the Caribbean, maybe Central America, but we haven't found any bargains (except cruises which we're looking to avoid).
Any brillant ideas? We're thinking we'd go mid-week for 5 nights, and want to spend around $500-700pp.

I'd suggest Cancun> It's warm, sunny, has beautiful water and lots of clubs & restaurants that are alot of fun...and shopping!

I secong Cancun. Haven't been there yet but my 2 older sisters use to go there together all the time before they were married. They always had a blast.

I'm not finding good deals for Cancun. The airfare alone is over $500, and packages are coming in over $1000. Know where I can get deals?

I would also look into Cancun. Or what about a cruise. Im sure you can get a great price.

I went to Cancun this past summer with my FI and we had a great time. We stayed at the Moon Palace which was amazing. You can check them out at www.palaceresorts.com. We booked the whole vacation through delta vacations. When we got there, we were upgraded and given 7 free tours. Definately worth checking out.

I love Dominican Republic for a cheap, nice vacation. Especially Punta Cana, Bavarro Beach. I recommend the Iberostar chain - Iberostar Bavarro in particular (although they tend to be a little more pricey). I went two years ago and then went back last year to another part of the country, Puerta Plata. The resorts are gorgeous and all-inclusive (food, tips and alcohol). I found deals for about 1000-1200 (everything included except off resort activities - which you don't leave the resort much unless you go on an organized activity). My SIL went with 4 single girls to the Allegro resort last year and had a great time.
