When a vendor doesn't reply to you promptly, does it make you NOT want to book with them? Is this just me? I have a particular vendor that I have been attempting to correspond with b/c I would like to work with 'them' but they're very lax on replying. Makes me want to forget the whole thing. Anyone else feel this way?

Re: Vague Vendor Question
i've been pretty fortunate with vendors (so far) I havent had a problem reaching anyone or getting an answer.
However the hair and makeup people are ridiculous with returning emails, phone calls etc. So i just move on after a few days to someone else. Im not going to chase after anyone

I agree with you. Hair and makeup is the worst and it is making me hate the whole wedding process.

that is so tru about hair & make-up, I had the hardest time with both- i finally managed to book a make-up trial but still cant book a hair trial- this person will only do trials on wednesdays & thursdays which is a pain in the asss

i'd have to agree with this. i emailed and left messages for a few that didn't even bother to return my calls. it turned me off completely. in my opinion, if you can't return an email or phone call how am i supposed to be able to trust you'll show up for my wedding day. this is how i feel for ALL vendors not just hair & m/u people.

I finally booked a trial with somone for this saturday. I went through about 5 different people and got through to this person. If it doesnt work out then i'm just going to my regular stylist and having my girls get their hair done there too. might even be quicker and easier since it will be all at once

Re: Vague Vendor Question
I wouldn't use a vendor like that. If they aren't responsive when they are trying to get your business, how responsive will they be when they have your $?

Re: Vague Vendor Question
That is so true about hair and make up! I called/emailed two different people and waited.....and waited....and waited !
The third person I contacted actually answered the phone on my first call and has gotten back to me anytime I tried to reach her.
The other two got back to me AFTER i booked my third and I had great pleasure telling them I booked weeks ago , since they never got back to me . very unprofessional IMO

who knows..I can understand if they have a regular full time job in the day or something but you can try and find a moment somewhere in your day (even at night) to respond to us paying customers!! A lot of these girls only provide you with an email address to contact them. No phone number or anything. How the hell are we supposed to be in communication when the other person makes no effort to contact you back!
k done venting

Re: Vague Vendor Question
i understand BUT sometimes a vendor is worth it
if i heard rumors of them not showing up or something then i would understand
i had almost no contact with a vendor but she ended up being one of my favorite ones!

Re: Vague Vendor Question
I had a real hard time with travel agents. Weeks went by with no response, then a response, then a few more weeks. So I booked it myself on Expedia. That's the only one I've had a hard time with. But yes, it definitely makes me not want to use them, especially if they are a vendor I don't know much about. If it was one I've heard tons of raving about, I would stick it out.

I actually have the AIM for the makeup person I will probably use, so lately I've been contacting her that way -- it's been really convenient

Re: Vague Vendor Question
I have one vendor that it seems you are pulling teeth to get them to email ya back. and no not hair/makeup (i think you slunts know who since i complain alot of it) haha
actually hair took about a week to hear back from and i booked before even having a trial so hopefully when i book my trial it wont be hard to get ahold of her. but i have heard so many wonderful things not too worried.
makeup- receive emails back the next day the latests i love my makeup person excited to work with her.
