is on a SAt this year. I am happy, but at the same time frustrated because I know everything I am going to want to do is going to be a hassle. Having dinner will be a nightmare I am sure.
What are your plans?
I want to set something in stone soon.

Re: valentines day....
I think FH and I will stay home and try to recreate our Valentine's Day in Paris two years ago. We didn't want to fight the crowds of Valentine couples and we had already had a late lunch, so we stopped at the Supermarche down the street from the hotel and bought two baquettes, a jar of Nutella and two bottles of French Coke. When we got back to the hotel, we found a small box of Belgian chocolates waiting for us. We stayed in that night and it was the best Valentine's Day.
Anybody know of a good French bakery with authentic baquettes?

Last year we went to Atlantic City for V-day and we got snowed in!!!! Remember that hugh blizzard we had. The AC expressway was shut down. I was there Friday-Tuesday (suppossed to leave Sunday) with no extra clothes or money! But it was fun anyways.

Re: valentines day....
We have sucessfully ignored Valentines day for the past 2 years! Hopefully this year we will do the same!
why spend 300 on dinner and 50 on roses if you can spend half as much for the same thing on any other weekend and know that it's your special weekend, not yours and the rest of the country!
My only request: a small box of godive truffles (no heart shaped boxes, please)! i will use any excuse to get chocolats!

Re: valentines day....
We usually don't do much on this day, uysually dinner at home, and watch THe Vanishing, we say this on our first date which was Valentine's Day.
Feb 15th is our dating anniversary so we usually go out to dinner then, when noone else is out, but since we have a new anniversary I am not sure what we will do.

Re: valentines day....
Every V-day we make plans to do something low key and it gets messed up. Last year we were going to order some food and get a romantic movie. THere was a 3 hour wait for the food so we wound up at KFC and we couldnt find a romantic movie so we got that one with Diane lane about her cheating on her husband! Quite the Romantic evening!
So this year I am going to try to get tickets to 'I love you you're perfect, now change' which I really want to see and then get dinner! HOpefully I can get tickets this week!!

Re: valentines day....
Probably dinner at Brian & Cooper - or is it Cooper & Brian - I always mess that up - its a steak house- Dont know if we are goign to go on V-day though. FH and I never celebrate exactly on V-day - stuff always gets in the way - so we usually celebrate a couple of days after.
i wish we had our home so I could cook him dinner but I guess that is waiting till next year.

Re: valentines day....
Hey Nvrbrd, I agree dinner on a holiday stinks.
Hubby and I may go for a mini weekend the following sat. We usually have dinner in. Its one of the times I cook and then we cuddle.
