Re: Valentine's Day
FH and I decided NO GIFTS! We seriously need to start saving. I am a gift person, once I start buying I don't stop, so it's better off to have none! Anyway, we are going to Fox Hollow for dinner (that's where we're having our reception) we thought it would be nice and romantic!

Re: Valentine's Day
I don't like to go out on days like this when everyone else will be at restaurants. I don't like going when places are crowded.I would rather make a nice quiet dinner at home with candles & a nice dessert for just the two of us.

Re: Valentine's Day
I have no idea what to get him. We're only buying each other very small stuff if we do at all. And we're going out to dinner with money he won from SuperBowl boxes!! woohoo 'Found money' doesn't go to bills

Re: Valentine's Day
Novemberbride - I agree. I hate crowds and I hate how restaurants try and gouge you by having special menus for Valentine's Day - like you pay $60 pp and it's all inclusive. What if I don't want to eat that much?! I might just make dinner at home. Only problem is, we have a roomate so hopefully she'll go over to her fiance's house that night.
I think I might get him a gift certificate for a pedicure as a gift - he has the roughest feet! They'll need to take a belt sander to those puppies......

We may not go out the exact day of valentines day... but maybe that weekend. I hate crowds too. (unless he makes reservations)

Re: Valentine's Day
We too, are not doing gifts. Just cards which I think mean more anyway! we need to seriously save $$! We'll either go out to eat or just get take out and watch a movie together and cuddle we tell each other everyday a million times a day how much we love each other-

Re: Valentine's Day
Dinner and movies at home sound like a good plan that is if there is no hockey on that night! Otherwise its dinner, hockey and snuggles.

Re: Valentine's Day
Dinner and a Broadway show is his gift for me on the 13th ... my birthday is the 14th, so this year we are combining the two. I hate spending a fortune on the 14th, so we are going out the night before.
I think I will get him one of Shamma's recommended 'sensual' books! and a massage! He could use it!
